It`s time what we all have waited- salmon and sea trout time!

Autumn has come to Estonia and weather has become colder. Water level in rivers is ascending constantly and salmonides are rising into rivers for spawn.

 Fishes which offer more interest to fly fisher:

 Salmon

Salmon has already been seen in rivers for some time. But more active rising will be couple of weeks after autumn    storms. Best time for chasing salmon is right after the stroms or even during, because then you can get chance to meet freshly-rised salmon, which is very eager to bite.

At this moment,when salmon has not rised into rivers properly, it is the best time to chase salmon in sea. Salmon is very close to the shore at this moment and the best places for chasing it are stony shores and estuarys of rivers- chance that you meet it there,is quite big.

 Sea trout:

 As salmon,there are some sea trouts already rised into rivers, but the best time begins at the same time with salmon. Chasing sea trout in sea can as interesting and effective as salmon-fishing.

 Pike:

 Before icing of water bodies, pike becames very active,as it is accumulating fat for long and cold winter, so results   may be very good. Best time for chasing pike has already begun and lasts till the icing of water bodies. Best pike spots are usually lakes and rivers, but it can be resultful in some bays also.

 Grayling:

 Grayling-fishing is prohibited in Estonia, but C&R is still allowed. Grayling is very active in October and November, it is possible to catch it with floating bait also. Catch can be big and it is possible to get very big graylings in autumn.
